Why do I get a "Not a member of the organization" message?

When you see this message, it means that the email that is being used to make the commit is not of a project collaborator so we won't analyze it.

There may be different reasons for this to happen, for example:

  1. That user was not yet invited to join the organization. In a situation where there are multiple collaborators in the project, the ideal scenario is to add the project to a Codacy organization and invite all the collaborators.

  2. The email used to commit is not associated with the collaborator Codacy account. The emails on Codacy are based on the emails you have on your code provider, so if you change the information there, this will reflect in your Codacy account. Once you change the information in the code provider, please log out and log in again from Codacy.

Please note that if the email used to commit is a .local email, it's not possible to add those to Codacy. In this case, continue to use only the emails that are already associated with your Codacy account.
