When you register a project without having set your own default patterns, Codacy will apply a subset of the existing patterns to it. The patterns that are enabled by default are chosen according to community feedback or existing coding standards that have been previously approved in the platform.
You can change the default list of patterns, creating a unique coding standard that is applied automatically to any project that you register. After project registration, any change that is done to the list of patterns in the Project settings will only be applied to that specific project, allowing you to completely customize any project to suit whatever coding standard that you deem appropriate.
To do this, go to Default Patterns in Account Settings:
List of default patterns on the account, showing some selected and some unselected.
To add or remove a pattern from the list of default patterns, use the checkbox next to the pattern name. You will be provided with feedback according to your action:
Enabling a pattern and placing him as default.
To navigate through the issues, you can use the available filters. This allows you to search the issues that you feel are more suited for your project:
Using the pattern list filter.
