How to add an AWS CodeCommit project to Codacy?

If you are trying to add an AWS CodeCommit to Codacy, you may get an error message saying that “We couldn’t reach your private repository” when adding the SSH Key.

To correctly create and add the SSH key please follow these steps:

1. Copy Codacy public SSH key

2. Upload your SSH public key to your IAM user. Copy the SSH key ID from IAM console after uploading your key.

3. Add the SSH key name to the SSH URL in Codacy, e.g.: “ssh://IAM-SSH-KeyID@git-codecommit.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/v1/repos/reponame”

Codacy will now start reviewing your project!
